Rommel Lopez of PressOnePH talked about the cyberattacks against his media outfit, highlighting that the attacked are linked to their fact-checking efforts during the campaign period. He also testified how the digital attacks affected their newsroom and the public’s access to accurate information. Rhea Padilla, national coordinator of Altermidya, meanwhile, put into context the DDOS attacks on alternative media sites, red-tagging and other forms of violations on press freedom. She also presented efforts to push back against these attacks.
