[Statement] We grieve

5 April 2020

The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines extend our condolences to the family and colleagues of Joseph de los Reyes, 32, freelance director of photography at GMA Network, who died April 3, 2020 after battling Covid-19.

GMA had earlier announced that one of its freelance production talents had tested positive for the disease.

According to his colleagues, De los Reyes worked as DOP of various public affairs programs such as Wagas, Tadhana and Inday Will Always Love You and was well-liked by those he worked with.

Sa mga kasamang Kapuso, kami ay nakikiisa sa inyong dalamhati.

May all of us who work in media remain safe as we continue to serve our people through the timely information they need to cope with the crisis as well as the entertainment and other shows that help keep their spirits high in these trying times.
