Who we are
The NUJP Media Legal Defense Network (MLDN) seeks to enhance the legal protection of media in the Philippines through strengthening journalists’ capacities to defend their rights and enhancing their access to rapid legal assistance for lawfare against press freedom and freedom of expression; this project will also become the continuation of NUJP’s previous program of the similar name.
The project aims to help Filipino journalists face these attacks by seeking the help of lawyers, paralegals and law students who believe in the importance of media independence.
